COLORFUL PHYSICS - CD-ROM (in Hungarian) (1998)

This CD is a useful aid for primary school teachers who - having the appropriate computer skills - would like to make their classes more colorful, exciting, and trying to make the syllabus easier to understand, or for those students to whom physics seems like a distant planet.

Utilizing the possibilities of multimedia the software teaches physics using multiple senses. It contains a 10-chapter long physics textbook, full of colorful pictures and diagrams that covers primary school syllabus, and in some cases even more. The book is made more interesting by using experiments, short videos and animations and sound effects to help audiovisual comprehension. Still the most effective form of studying is experimenting and observation. To facilitate this, interactive experiments allow the student - for example - to observe the changing view through lenses by virtually moving the object. At the end of the book, there are exercises along with their solutions with explanations. Some children's drawings and jokes make studying more enjoyable. To improve one's lexical knowledge there are over 150 physicist's biographies on the CD in alphabetical and chronological order on a timeline together with historical events and other famous people from the field of sciences and art.
